The peeled poles and bales from inside. The stakes leaning against the wall are bamboo, cut as "imbalers". After I left, they found that they didn't need them: The poles amply eliminate any need for pounding pins. I had suspected as much.


Note the generous overhangs. The outermost bearing posts rest on stone plinths, shown above and below.
