The Satan-lookin' guy on the right is Joe Jenkins. Even if you don't like the idea of pooping in a bucket, if you get the chance to meet this lunatic, I'd urge you to do so. (He's not a lunatic because of the poop stuff - the poop stuff makes some pretty good sense. He's a lunatic for other reasons.)

A modified post-and-beam infill structure. Note that it's on concrete piers, with unmilled timber beams supporting floor joists. The bale walls are built up on the floor decking.
