An Artist's Desert Compound This is the kind of place that sucked me into strawbale. Small, quick (but ongoing), soulful. Delightful. None of that million-dollar Santa-Fe-Strawbale-Mansion stuff for me, thanks. Mary, owner-builder. Her place consists of small, separate buildings. This photo looks kinda shacklike. You'll have to take my word for it that in person, it's an oasis, and lovely.
